Handbook

We are now registering for the 2014-2015 school year.

Mission

The mission of "Little Lambs Preschool" is helping young children develop by providing a spiritual, emotional, and educational foundation based on God's word.  Growing in faith, praising God and sharing his forgiveness.

Philosophy

Our desire to provide a Christian preschool experience for young children flows from God's commands to us to "train up a child in the way he should go", to "feed (His) lambs", and to "bring up a child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Our preschool strives to assist parents, not replace them in this privilege and responsibility.

We wish to provide such a nurturing environment, not only to Christ's lambs that are members of our church family, but also to others in the community.

Objectives

  • To provide a Christ-centered learning environment
  • To guide the children to a better understanding and closer relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ
  • To provide an opportunity for the child to develop socially with other children
  • To provide meaningful play experiences that contributes to the developmental needs of the child
  • To provide an educational foundation on which future learning experiences can be based and to foster readiness for the primary grades
  • To help the child learn to accept others, even though they may be different than self
  • To provide the children with opportunities to act and think for themselves and develop a degree of independence
  • To help the children develop an interest in the world around them
  • To foster in the children the idea that learning can be exciting and FUN!
  • To serve as a mission outreach to the community

Enrollment is open to those children regardless of race, color, national and ethnic origin with all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or other school-administered programs.

All classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We require a 2 week cancellation notice if you are leaving the preschool during the school year.

We reserve the right to divide the two programs where three-year-olds meet on Tuesday and Thursday should enrollment for one session becomes too large.
